Squaring my mitre saw

Squaring my mitre saw

I  had a Ryobi 14 Amp 10 in. Compound Mitre Saw. It was working fine but could only cut a max of 5 inches wide boards. I was in the market for a new on but all of the sliding mitre saw was so costly. I even considered a Harbour Freight one, but even at that it was a $100 and more for one. I decided to check out craigslist.com and found a Kobalt one there for s feel. Well, after I got home I found out why it was so cheap – it was not square. I tried a couple of time to square it up but it just wasn’t budging. I ended up leaving it on the desk and with work that is so hectic and did not get time to tinker with it again. Today I decided I’m going to take it apart and resemble it and try to get it squared up again. It took about 3 hours but is it nice and square now. I cut multiple square plywood blocks to test it and it came out perfect every time. I installed an auxiliary fence to prevent break out on my cuts and to provide some extra support.
